Revision of 2026-07-21
1. What this covers
This describes what data takemypay collects while running the service, why it is needed and how long it is kept. It concerns two groups: users of the dashboard and the programming interface, and customers arriving at the payment page.
2. Account data
- Email address — the only account identifier; the sign-in link is sent there.
- Payout details — exactly as you entered them.
- Project settings — notification addresses and settlement parameters.
- Access keys — stored only as an irreversible hash. The original key cannot be recovered, including by us.
3. Transaction data
For every transaction we store the amount, currency, status, timing, your order identifier and the conversion rate applied. This is what settlement with you and dispute resolution run on.
🔴 Full payment instrument details are not stored. What a customer enters on the payment page is used once to carry out the transaction and is not placed in our storage. What remains is an anonymised marker — enough for a customer to recognise their own transaction in a history, not enough to use it.
4. Technical data
Requests to the service are logged with the network address, client software details and request parameters. These logs serve fault diagnosis and abuse protection.
5. Sharing
Data needed to carry out a transaction is passed to the organisations involved in executing it, to the extent execution requires. Beyond that, data may be disclosed on a lawful request from a competent authority under applicable law.
We do not sell data and do not share it for advertising.
6. Retention
Transaction data and related records are kept for as long as settlement and dispute resolution require, and for any period applicable law prescribes. Technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically. Revoked access keys remain as hashes so that the authenticity of previously sent notifications stays verifiable.
7. Cookies and the source tag
The dashboard uses a single functional cookie — the sign-in session. It is required for the dashboard to work and is not used for tracking. There are no third-party advertising or analytics cookies on the dashboard or payment pages.
Sign-up links carry a src parameter naming the page of ours you came from. It
is kept in your browser (localStorage) and recorded against your account when you register,
so we can tell which material brings merchants in. It is the name of a page, not a browsing
history; it is never shared, and no third-party analytics service receives it. To remove the
tag before registering, clear the site data in your browser.
8. Your rights
You may request the data we hold about you and ask for its deletion, to the extent that does not conflict with obligations to retain settlement records. Requests go to support@takemypay.net.
